LOOT

MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN
BERTOLT BRECHT

Using only her wits and sheer will Mother Courage determinedly follows a series of faceless armies across the land in an effort to make a living for herself and her family; though, one by one, her children are lost to the very violence from which she profits. In Mother Courage we are reminded of the dreadfulness of war and that virtues are not rewarded in corrupt times.
First performed in 1941, Mother Courage and her Children is often hailed as Brecht's best work.
