The First Series of The Arden Shakespeare was launched in 1899, with the Second following in the 1950s, reaching completion in the early 1980s. In 1995, the Third Series was launched and is now reaching completion. Each new volume is edited from the original sources by a leading contemporary scholar, providing a clear and authoritative edition of each Shakespeare play.
