About the Author(s)
Tim Bartlett began sailing as a child on the Thames near his parents' home. After teaching sailing in commercial sailing schools he became a full time yacht skipper at the Island Cruising Club. After five years running his own engineering company he became technical editor of Motor Boat and Yachting. Tim Bartlett has written several nautical books including the bestselling Adlard Coles Book of Diesel Engines and Adlard Coles Book of Outboard Motors.
