This is a practical basic guide to colour theory and practice. It simply but comprehensively explains colour theory, its vocabulary and terminology, opaque and transparent colours, subtractive colour mixing and provides temperature, tonal and complementary colour charts. There are also charts giving gouache, acrylic, oil, watercolour and textile dye equivalents. The result is a good basic guide to mixing colours that painters and textile artists will find invaluable.
